Firstly let me say sorry for not being around much for the past couple of weeks but things havent been so good at my end - few bad days that kept me away from everything but this weekend I have been busy and have some new items coming into the stores over the next few days.
There are 2 new kits which you can see below and I'm quite pleased with them both especially the Dark Garden Kit

I have some great news!!!

I have just been accepted into a new store

DAZZLING SCRAPS

I am just uploading my items into the store now and have already added to my gallery there. So everything will be ready to go within the next 24 hours.
I decided that I would have more time to design this year and would concentrate as much as I could on it. It will also help with my 'condition' - Cyclothymic Disorder - and it would help me focus more. Even on my 'bad' days it will give me something to work on.

So there will be plenty of new items - both Personal and Commercial Use - coming throughout the year :) I already have a few items ready to upload to the stores for next month and you can see them in the slideshow above.

Meanwhile at Angels That Scrap we will be starting the challenges again - not too many but enough to keep you busy. We'll also have a few coupons with various discounts throughout the year as well as the sales.

At Scraphead we have a sale on and some of my older items are now on sale with some of them having a saving of 65%!!!

Definitely a few bargains to be found so why not nip over to them all and see what we have on offer - not just me but the other designers as well

I have been so busy today trying to get things sorted in my folders but I soon decided that I didnt want to do that - I wanted to DESIGN!!!!!! lol

So here is another little kit for you - ICE BABY - done with some poser images I have. I have so many poser images and forget exactly what I have sometimes but I saw these cute little eskimos and thought I would do a little kit to go with them. There are 12 papers and 27 elements. Well it is now 2.15am and i have just finished working on new items or the stores.
The first item is a freebie kit - yes a full kit! - which is available at Angels That Scrap. It is an update of a kit I brought out a while ago but n green. I changed the colour to brown and thought I would give it away as a freebie to thank you all for your custom and also for your patience with me over the past few months while I have been getting my life and my computer into order.

I have also been working on a set on Mini kits to do with Chakras. As some of you know I am involved with a Psychic and Spiritual Club here in Blackpool and last night while I was sat there the idea came to me. So i started as soon as I got home and didnt get to bed until gone 2am and have been working on it most of today as well. It is now finished and ready to go into the stores within the next day or two. These will be on sale for $1.25 each so a great bargain there for you. Each colour represents a different Chakra and each set has either 3 or 4 papers as well as a few elements including candles done in the chakra colours. The papers are textured and one of them has a candle as background image. I have also included a small sticker which shows the chakra positions in the body.

I'm also working on a few other items ready for Christmas and the New Year.
But for now I think my bed is calling lol - too many late nights and I wont have any energy to work on anything at all

Well today I have tried to relax and just sat about all evening after a day of food shopping and other chores lol - terrible I know but some evenings are just made for that and tonight seems to have been one of them. So after going through some of my older kits and sorting which ones can be updated ready for the store for a sale, I decided to do a layout for the latest kit in store - HAUTE COUTURE.
This is a beautiful kit in black, grey and cream and makes your black and white photos look so elegant - perfect for the family albums

Not only will I be putting some of my older kits into the store for a sale I will also be including some 'Page Packs' There will be 2 or 3 papers and various elements in one pack - similar to a quick page but rather than have the page set up for you already the elements and papers will let you make up your own quick pages in the layout you like. So rather than just having the one page to work with you will be able to create many pages from a few items. Much cheaper than buying the full kit and then you possibly do not use all the items. They will be priced at just $1 per page pack so watch for them coming into the store in the very near future :)

There are also a few new kits n the making - I seem to be in a stage of making kits with a basic colour palette - as you can tell from LEAH and HAUTE COUTURE - so there will be a few more of those coming into the store as well as a vintage Christmas kit. Well not been well for the past couple of days so have managed to get the items into the stores but no previews here yet. I will get them on here this afternoon as well as some freebies for the 2 kits.

Had a wonderful afternoon with the Grandsons at the weekend and hopefully will be seeing my grandaughter on Thursday :)

I went for a walk yesterday afternoon to see if I could clear my head - feeling yucky and headache and its NOT swine flu by the way! - and took some photos so please look at my slideshow of my pics that I took and I'll be back this afternoon to post the previews and freebies

Well I've had a busy couple of weeks and that is why I havent been posting much. Well my programme stopped working but after a bit of tweaking and messing around I have managed to get it working again so I have loads of new items to put into the stores in the next couple of days. There is a mixture of commercial and personal use items and all at great prices!

Ive also had to make some items for the daily download for August in Scraphead so watch for that one - Summer Sea, Sand and Surf. Lovely bright colours for those great layouts of your summer pics!!

I also spent a wonderful day with four of my Grandsons last Sunday and had a fantastic day on the beach and Pier. Lunch in the local pub and then walk back to mine. What a great day! I had missed their laughter so much so it brightened my week to hear them all laughing and joking with each other. Going to see them again this weekend and also my daughter is visiting me so busy weekend again :)

Well back to work getting these items uploaded to the stores for you

Well what a week this has been!!!!

Firstly the "wonderful" carry-on with the mistaken identity which is being worked on as we speak - Luckily many people know me and know I would never be involved in something like that.

What do they say? Do unto others as they do unto you - well my version has always been

"Dont do unto others what you wouldnt like done to you!"

Its always worked for me and also makes me think before I speak :)

Then - worst thing ever to happen - my Paint Shop Pro programme just stopped working!!!! Oh my!!! Couldnt get it to open at all !!! Was like a woman without chocolate and the shops are closed!!! Well I think most of you know what THAT feels like!!! Phone calls galore to my Dad to see if he could help and then checking out the site. But it is still not working so now having to work with my other programmes - which is hard now as I had got so used to working with psp and forgotten how to do a few things with the others lol How terrible is that!!! So this weekend will be spent trying different things again. But dont worry I have some new items which will be in the stores by Monday. I had been working hard at the beginning of the week and got a few things done - there are 3 new kits - Sweet Sorbet, Delight and Simply Beautiful and also some more Victorian Rose Tags and 2 more Cluster Templates to add to the collection.

Then yesterday I decided to go for a walk to the local lake with my friend Sarah - beautiful sunny day, bit of wind to keep you cool. Got there and had a lovely Ice Cream and cold drink and then walked round it and back so out 2 hours altogether. By 7pm I looked like a lobster!!! Yes burnt red!!! oooohhhhhh not nice so just applied some of my dry skin lotion and it is easing off a bit. Today I will be staying in for most of the day I think :(

Today I received an email telling me that I have been named as someone who is buying products and charging back through Paypal and then when I come onto my blog I find a message in my guest book telling me that i am about to be thrown out of the scrapping world for taking peoples money!!!!

I'm Back!!!!

You are probably all wondering where I disappeared to for the past 6 months. Well I have had quite a few personal changes in my life and I decided at the beginning of it all that I would take a break from designing to concentrate on getting to where I am now. Long journey but I think I am there now :) Hopefully I am - or maybe not quite there but on the right road anyway

So now I am back designing again and I have a few new items for you all in my stores at Magickalscraps and Scraphead.

There are both Commercial Use and Personal Use items. Beautiful kits in various styles but mainly my usual vintage style - you all know how much I love to do those lol

WHOOO HOOO!!!! I had a free morning so I decided to try and get some work done with my designing and even though I didn't manage to get a kit done I did get these 5 sets of Vintage style charms done for you all.

As I said there are 5 sets - some have 6 and some have 7 charms but all of them have a blank charm as well which you can use as a frame for your own pics. They have beautiful vintage images which can be used to add that extra something to either your kits or your layouts.

How busy have I been this weekend! Absolutely crazy!! lol

I managed to get the November Download a day finished and sent to Snowy so she can sort it out and get it ready for November 1st at Magickalscraps. That is going to be a fantastic kit to collect.

I also managed to get 5 items done for the Christmas Grab Bag which will be on sale at Magickal Scraps from 15th October. This will be a Mega Mega bag of goodies for you and all the folders will have a Christmas theme. Commercial License included as well.

I have also been busy with guests so I have been making this kit while they have been getting ready to go out on the town and when they actually went out. We had a group of 11 ladies staying last night who all went out dressed as builders. Great fun. They all eventually crawled in at about 5.30am!! And still managed to get up for breakfast at 8.30!! Oh to be that young and fit again lol

One of my favourite styles - Vintage. There are 10 papers, 3 rows of beads, 3 borders, 4 bows, 1 buckle, 2 corners, 5 jewellry elements, 5 frames, 1 journal book, 5 strips of lace, 6 ribbons and 2 tags all done in shades of lilac and cream. I was so happy with this kit as all the jewellry items were made with my own fair hands as well as the bent frames. Loads of lace and pearls.

I did have a bit of help from Cari Lopez. She provided me with the pearl element for a lot of the jewellry as well as the beautiful pearl border at the top of the second preview. I love her work - she has a perfect eye for vintage style items that are so beautiful to work with.

Well what a week I seem to be having. Everything is changing here so I'll tell you a bit about them all.

Firstly we have the new store - Magickal Scraps - open and running well.

Loads of specials there - Daily Download from myself, Snowraven and Morgana Wynter as well as a special 25% off sale for the first week.

There are some fantastic items in the stores and all at fantastic prices.

Now here are the major changes that I am making to my designing life. I am leaving both Scrapbookers Playground and Divine Digital. With everything going on just lately I haven't been able to give as much time as I should have so I have decided to leave them and concentrate on just Scraphead and Magickal Scraps.

I will be leaving Scrapbookers Playground as of today and will leave Divine Digital on the 15th October. I will be having a massive sale at Divine so watch for that over the next couple of days. It will definitely be worth the money.

So I would like to say Thank You to everyone at both Scrapbookers Playground and Divine Digital for the encouragement and support they have given me over the past 12 months. Without them I would never have carried on and tried to get better with each item I made.

So this weekend I have a busy schedule but will try to pop in when I can - I have family coming over as well as Guests so it should be quite hectic. Mum and Dad are over today and then it goes crazy tomorrow. Hopefully I should have everything done and dusted before they get here. I have to sort out a preview for my sale at Divine as well as sort out a couple of new kits so better get going and get it done

I am in the middle of doing a couple of little kits - one for a littl girl and one for a little boy - and I decided to try a couple of frames with different coloured monkeys on them. I found a fantastic site that has free clip art as well as poser made images that you can buy

Scorpology is a great site and so cheap as well.

So I bought two sets of poser elements and one of them was a set of cats. I changed the colour of them a bit and made their fur a bit darker and made this little kit with them.

Charity Night held 11th September 2008

Well here is the update on the Charity Psychic Night we held here last night in aid of

Donna's Dream House

I was thinking that I would maybe get about 30 people coming and decided that if we made £300 (about $600) I would be happy. We sorted out the raffle prizes the night before and found that we had 25 large prizes and 59 small prizes. The first 25 tickets drawn would get one of the larger prizes (done in order of price) and then everyone else would get one of the smaller ones at least.

It was starting at 7.30 but the first people arrived at 6.30pm and by 7.30pm the place was full!! We even got 8 people show up a bit late and they ended up sitting on the floor - which they were happy to do.

The two mediums who worked - Monty Havelock and Helen Chadwick - are friends of mine and Pete's and they both worked for free and what a night it was!! Absolutely fantastic!!

The atmosphere was wonderful and everyone had a fantastic time.

We got rid of all the prizes in 20 minutes lol. Once we saw that everyone had a prize we were just wandering around the room and looking for numbers to call lol

Then someone brought in a large Bull Dog soft toy which had been signed by Phil Mitchell (of Eastenders fame) and we got £65 ($130) for that as well as £20 ($40) for a bottle of Brandy

The Grand Total for the night was an astounding

£470 (about $950)

That was the biggest surprise of all. I never thought we would make that much. The response was fantastic - 60 people attended altogether

So that will help one family to stay at Donna's Dream House for a week with everything paid. I have put a link to the homepage of Donna's Dream House so you can see exactly what they do there. I went for a full tour this morning and it is an awesome place to stay at. The rooms are all themed and each has it own suite of rooms for parents and children as well as a bathroom and a communal kitchen. The Playroom is done as a Circus with a train set running around the rail which is hung from the ceiling. Clowns are everywhere.

They also have another building for teenagers which has four rooms with bathrooms and are all done out in wonderful themes - Music Legends, Film Legends, Oriental Legends and Ancient Legends. The "Playroom" is done out as though they were in a space ship and when the lights are turned out the ceiling shows earth and stars which glow - awesome

Len and Barbara lost their daughter Donna to Cancer in 1998 and, along with many volunteers, have given their life and money to other children so they can enjoy what their daughter wished for - hence the name Donna's Dream House

I found loads of stuff that I had put away and just never got round to using anywhere so I decided to sort through it all and upload it to my store at Scraphead.

What a time we have had!!!

Well what a time we seem to have had lately!! No Internet and then we did have it, it was playing up so I could only download and upload one file at a time. Then it would go off for a bit longer- crazy!!!

We contacted the server and of course it isn't their fault. So they sent us some new filters for the lines and that seems to have done the trick - for now. The internet still goes off now and again but usually with bad weather so keep your fingers crossed.

The B&B has been busyish but the Steak House has been doing well. So we have been constantly on our feet here. The Illuminations were turned on on Friday so we get even busier for the next 9 weeks and then we have the end of the season. Things go quiet for us then over Winter till Easter next year so I should be able to get a whole lot of work done on my designing and get some free gifts up and running again. I never realised how little I would get done during the summer until this year. Last year was my first summer with my designing and I wasn't doing half as much as I have been doing this year. I'll know better for next year - may even do a load of work over winter and save it for summer months when I can't do as much.

I've also got a charity psychic night coming up on Thursday 11th September. Two of my friends, Monty Havelock and Helen Chadwick - who are fantastic mediums - will be working together to raise money for a local charity in Blackpool. Donna's Dream House is a charity that has a couple of Bed and Breakfasts in Blackpool and they allow children with terminal illnesses and their families to have a holiday free of charge. I decided to do this charity evening for Donna's Dream House as it is such a brilliant charity started from nothing by a wonderful couple named Len and Barbara who are the parents of Donna. I will let you know how it goes later this week

Anyway I have got loads of new kits in my stores as well as commercial items so just pop over and have a look and see what is available.

I have also got a freebie in my store at Scraphead. This week my Mum celebrated her 70th Birthday. 10 years ago she had a series of strokes - and still has the odd one now and again - but she is a tough cookie and has got through them all. She actually is the carer for my Dad!

Well I bet you thought I had fallen off the ends of the earth didn't you? Well I am still here - just more stressed than normal lol. We've had a busy few weeks at the B&B doing odd jobs that needed doing and a clear out as well as having guests in and opening the Steak House every day so my time on here has been very limited

BUT.... I still managed to get a few new kits done as well as quite a few Commercial and Personal Use Elements for you all.

But first the news for the month

The most important news is that I now have another Grandson.

Alfie Lee Burns

was born in Sunday 15th June at 5.35am weighing 6lb 5oz.

Both Mother (Emma my daughter in law) and Baby well and at home

So now I have 5 Grandsons and 1 Grandaughter - slowly getting the football team lol

Snowraven sent an email to her CT team and they all did layouts for him which I have saved and am going to print out for his Baby Book. To see them all you need to go to Scraphead Forums and have a look at them - They are all gorgeous so Thank you so much everyone.

Well the past couple of weeks have been very busy for me and I have got two new kits with freebie samples for you as well as a Charity Kit.

Firstly the charity kit - FRIENDSHIP

As you all will have heard there was a terrible cyclone in Burma last week and I was in the middle of this kit when I decided to donate all proceeds from it to the Relief Fund.

This is very personal for us as hubby, Pete's family are in Burma. His Mother's cousins live in the affected area and there has been no contact with any of them since that terrible Saturday.

Please keep them in your prayers for us as well as all the other families who have been affected.

Yes I am still alive and not left the land of the living - just yet anyway lol

It has been a crazy time since the last post with my Pc crashing I had to try and get everything back to normal and couldn't get my graphics programs to come back on. Anyway they eventually came back and then it was time to open the new store at SCRAPHEAD

Yes we have a new store!!

Michelle at Kutnkudlys designs bought an ongoing site which opened on May 1st. So we had to spend a couple of days getting everything into the store. I have decided that only my newest items will be in there for now - may just add the older stuff later when I have more time. On Sunday it will be my 48th birthday - Yes 48! Only 2 years until I am 50 and do you know I often don't feel like my age at all lol. Sometimes I do have to keep reminding myself exactly how old I am!

ACROSS THE SEA

ROSE AND AMETHYST

Well even though I had a couple of days offline to get things sorted in our "office" I still managed to get two new kits finished. These were both inspired by outside influences really. The first kit is "ACROSS THE SEA" My Dad's side of the family were all seafarers and ship owners and I decided to do a kit based on that theme but also a vintage look to it. Thanks to images from Dover Designs (great company by the way) I managed to get some beautiful papers and elements done.

The second kit is ROSE AND AMETHYST and was inspired by a tv commercial would you believe! I was watching American Idol (great fan of that - hope David wins and don't care how pompous Simon says he is - Great voice) - anyway I'm going off line here again lol. In the commercial break they showed a commercial for Lenor Fabric Softener and the new fragrances. One of them was Amethyst and Rose and that seemed to stick in my head. So here is the kit that goes with the Fabric Softener lol. Done in shades of Red and Purple. Snowraven saw it last night and said it looked very gothic which isn't my usual style but i am happy with the result and hope you all are as well

Yes I have been so busy for the past week or so but I still managed to get 2 kits done and 2 freebie mini kits to go with them.

The first kit I made was DEEP ELEGANCE which is the second kit in my Elegance Series. Done in shades of Pink, Blue and Green, it will make your kits look so elegant

The second kit is TEDDY BEAR LOVE - another of my PhotoImpact creations. I was given a keyring at the weekend which was a teddy bear with a plaque that said "Friends are the family we choose for ourselves" So cute that I decided to try and make one. I even got it to have a fur effect.
